FPRA Ocala Chapter's Media Breakfast a Success

This morning the Ocala Chapter of FPRA hosted their second annual North Central Florida Media Breakfast. Close to 50 PR and business professionals in North Central Florida attended the event, which featured four members of the news media representing radio, magazine, newspaper and television media. The panel discussed the issues facing their industry and how PR professionals can effectively communicate and work with members of the news media.

The panelists consisted of:

Newspaper: David Moore, Ocala Star Banner

Radio: Shane Finch, WTRS Thunder Country / WMFQ Big Oldies

Television: Bob Williams: WCJB TV 20

Magazine: Amy Mangan: Ocala Magazine

Following the panel discussion guests participated in four rounds of breakout sessions with the individual panelists. See the pictures above for highlights of the breakout sessions.

The FPRA State Board Meeting was a Success

Good morning.

I'm pleased to report that the FPRA state board meeting held in Ocala this past weekend was a tremendous success.

Our Friday night social was held at Sky Asian Fusion. It was well attended, with over 40 chapter board members and state board members attending.

On Saturday we learned that the Ocala Chapter once again leads the state in member retention with 62.9% of its members renewed. Thank you to all those members that have already renewed your membership. For those of you that haven't please do so soon.

FPRA Membership Renewals - Please respond

Good morning FPRA Ocala Chapter.

I have learned that some of you did not receive your membership renewal email from the state office a couple of weeks ago. They are planning on sending out another reminder next week and I want to make sure that you receive the information. They are not mailing the renewals this year. Everything will be done via email.

If you did not receive the renewal email Chris Carroll at FPRA's state office please reply to this email with your name and email address. I will have them check their records to make sure everything is accurate. I will also forward the next reminder out to you as well.
